The Joy of Giving

In this time of joyful festivities remember those that are unemployed, underemployed, or in distress. Do something kind and thoughtful for them, just because!!

I still Believe in Miracles. Do you?

At the risk of repeating myself I feel inclined to remind us all of the importance of giving, not just receiving. For me I love the yummy feeling I get when I have done something thoughtful for someone. Remember it doesn't have to be someone you know. It can be anyone.

Great story, a young woman was in line at the checkout stand at a local grocery store. She was very cheerful and engaging with the store clerk, calling her by her name that she saw on her name tag. The clerk was surprised and pleased to be acknowledged. The gentleman behind the woman checking out took notice and was smiling. When it came time for the young woman to pay for her purchase she was having some difficulty executing her card. She politely turned around and apologized to the man behind her for taking so long. She was nervous and couldn't remember her pin number. Turns out she was using a food stamp card for the first time and wasn't sure how to proceed, the check out clerk was very kind and helped her. Some of her items were not covered on the card and she had to pay in cash. When out of nowhere the nice man behind her offered to pay for the additional amount and wished her a Happy Holiday!! Wow, what a heart warming story.
